I received the the phone call a sunday evening in april 2003 after returning from a week of sunny climbing in the desert. John and Guy were 'missing' on their attempt of the unclimbed 2000m NW face of the Devils Thumb in Alaska.

John and Guy were an inspiration to nearly everyone they met. Both in their climbing and in their lifestyles, they had a passion and an energy which drove them and was contagious to everyone around them.
A simple web page can never do true justice to the memories of two dear friends, but this is my best attempt.
