Within the greater Vancouver area are at least 3 developed crags, two along the coastline in West Vancouver,
and the other in Capilano Canyon in North Vancouver.
| Capilano
Canyon |
| Nestled below
the North Shore Mountains, the Capilano Canyon host a couple climbs
up to 4 pitches in length. A good place to escape the crowds. |
| Lighthouse
Park |
| Since the
1950’s, the sea-cliffs of Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver have been
a popular spot for climbers. The featured 15m granite cliffs
rise out of the ocean and provide a good spot to climb after work
or on sunny winter days. About 15 climbs, mostly short, and
at a wide range of difficulty. A superb situation on a nice evening
with the waves lapping at your feet, the sun setting at your back,
some fine featured granite at your fingertips, and the city carefully
hidden from sight. |
| Copper
Cove |
| A recently
developed sea-cliff near the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. A
variety of climbs, both sport and gear, mostly 5.10 and up.
Some of the routes are quite loose, but should improve with traffic.
Mind the tides!! |
